Spaces gives you a lot of tools, models, flows, and templates. You know what you want to make. What you don't always know is which of those things does it, or what it's called in the menu.
That's the gap the search panel closes. Type what you need and you're there in a second, name or no name.
Press N on the canvas, right-click anywhere, or hit + in the sidebar. One panel opens, and searching is the smallest thing it does. From there: find a tool, browse a category, run a command on your selection, jump to a node, change a setting. All without touching the mouse again.

Find any tool in Spaces without knowing its name
Knowing the exact name is the fastest route, and it's far from the only one. Type "blurry photo", or "foto borrosa" in whatever language you think in, and you land on the Upscaler. Type "remove background" or "watermark" and you get the right node, even if the name has nothing in common with what you typed.
Combine a verb, a medium, and free text, in any order. "Create image" narrows to the Image Generator. "Video node" shows only video nodes. "Animate" surfaces the tools that animate.
Typos and jargon are fine. "Imsge", "nano bnana", and "temaplte" all resolve, since one mistake per word is tolerated. So do "img2img", "rembg", and "lipsync", even though none of them is the official name of anything.
Descriptions get searched too. "Make my photo sharper" isn't in any tool's title, but it's in the Upscaler's description, and the engine reaches for that when nothing better matches.
And it never dead-ends. When nothing matches, you can search stock with the text you already typed, or hand it to the agent.
Browse the Spaces catalog by type and provider
Search works when you know what you want. Browsing works when you're looking around, and the search panel does both.
Results already arrive grouped by type: Tools, Models, Flows, Templates, Settings. Each group has its own See all, which drops you into that category with your text preserved. You can also go in from the start.
By content type. Image, Video, Audio, 3D, Text, Media, Nodes, Tools.
By provider. Open Google, OpenAI, Kling, or Minimax and see only their models, with a New badge on anything recently added. This is the fastest way to answer "what video models do we have now".
Flows, in 2 sections. Explore holds the flows Magnific publishes. My Flows holds yours, the ones you saved, and the ones shared with you. Your own carry edit and delete on hover; the rest carry a Saved or Shared badge. The list loads more as you scroll.
Templates and References. Both browsable as visual cards. References splits further into characters, styles, elements, locations, and palettes.
Design. Your saved designs, searchable, ready to drop onto the canvas.
Compare models without leaving the panel. Hover any model and a tooltip opens beside the panel: a sample of its output, what it costs in credits, and how long a generation takes. Arrow down and the card follows.
A couple of behaviors worth knowing. Quick-access pills sit in the panel at rest, and suggested pills appear as you type: if what you're writing is concentrated in one category, the panel offers it. And searching inside a category searches only there, so once you're in Video Models you can narrow without leaving.
What you can run from the search panel
The panel runs commands too, on the nodes already sitting on your board.
Act on what you've selected. Select several nodes and the panel leads with the contextual actions that work on those nodes: type clear on a row of generators and it clears the generations inside all of them at once, instead of emptying each node by hand. Type create list on a spread of loose creations and they collapse into a single node you can keep working from. Type export as template on a group you spent an afternoon wiring and it's reusable tomorrow.
Jump anywhere on your board. Search any node or page by name and the camera takes you to it. Even on a board you've been building for weeks, any artwork is one search away.
Create from scratch. Create flow, create character, create style, and create palette each open the right inspector, ready to start building.
Change a setting. Type play videos to decide whether clips autoplay and whether they run with sound. Type guides to turn helper lines on or off, or bezier and palm for how connections draw. The modal opens with that option highlighted.
Open what you need to check. History and credits both open the run inspector on that tab. Comments opens comments.
One surface, one keystroke, and the same syntax for adding a node or crossing the board.
Search panel hacks worth learning
Once you've used the panel a few times, these are the ones that stay with you.
Navigate with the arrows the way you see the grid. Right goes to the item on the right, down goes to the row below. No mental translation between what's on screen and where the selection lands.
Let Tab do the typing. As you type, the panel completes the closest match in grey, ahead of your cursor. If that's the one you were going for, press Tab and it fills in the rest. Tab works on the results list too: it activates whichever row is highlighted, and Enter runs it.
Press Escape as many times as you need. The first press clears your search, the second exits the category, the third closes the panel. Nothing is lost on the way out.
Keep typing when you change your mind. Arrow down into the results and the cursor stays in the search field. So if nothing on the list is right, you don't have to click back up to fix your query: keep typing and the results update under you.
Drag a result onto the canvas. Once you've found the node or creation you were after, drag it out of the panel and drop it wherever you want it on the board. It lands ready to use, right where you let go.
All of it runs against the full catalog in under 5ms, which is why these stick: the panel never makes you wait for them. And once it's that fast to reach, it's worth knowing what else you can send through it.
Hand a request to the agent from the search panel
Some of what you want isn't a tool. "Set up a flow that takes a brief and returns 3 ad variants" has no node to search for, and the panel takes it anyway: type the request and it goes straight to the agent, with your text already loaded.
It also works on what's already on your board, whether you search for it or select it on the canvas. Search a creation and Ask the agent about "Creation #1" appears right under the result, carrying that reference with it. Select a set of nodes and start typing, and the option comes up the same way, with the selection attached. Find the piece, hand it over, say what you need, in 3 steps that never leave the panel.
What you hand over changes the job:
A creation. Search it by name and ask for the versions you're missing: the formats the brief calls for, or the same scene in another color direction.
A workflow. You already wired one for a single product, and the rest of the product shots are sitting on the same board. Select every node in it, start typing, and ask for all of them to go through it, so every shot comes back on a clean background with the lighting matched.
A character reference. You're putting the scenes of a pilot together and the lead's reference is already locked in. Search it and ask for the next scene. The agent works from that reference, so the character looks the same in every shot instead of changing face between them.
And it still covers the dead end. When a search comes back empty, handing it to the agent is one of the exits, so you never hit a wall. Either way it's the shortest route to the agent there is: no sidebar, no extra clicks, same keystroke you were using anyway.
Make the search panel yours
Keep what you use on top. The pin icon fixes a tool to the top of the panel, where it stays every time you open it. Reorder them by dragging inside the Pinned pill. They sync with your account, so they're there wherever you log in.
It remembers your last search. Reopen the panel and your previous query is still there, which matters when you're running the same operation across several nodes.
Resize it. It opens small next to your click. Drag the corner to stretch it in both directions, or double-click the grip to toggle between small and large. Whatever size you leave it at is the size it opens at the next session.
Start with one keystroke
The habit is small. Next time you reach for a tool, don't go looking. Press N and describe what you need in whatever words come first.
The rest is muscle memory.
